Dry Roses and Diary

Experience is Life's Greatest Asset!

**How It All Began**
In 2012, Rosey Denise kicked off RDW Creations as a publishing powerhouse, launching with the inspiring title *Diamond the Rough: Truth, Tragedy, and Triumph!* Over the past decade, RDW Creations has blossomed into a vibrant creative hub dedicated to building community! Rosey has gone on to write three more fantastic books, host engaging literacy events in Detroit, and team up with local entrepreneurs to address illiteracy head-on. Thanks to these efforts, more than 2,000 youth and adults have been empowered to appreciate the importance of strong literacy skills as a result of her efforts!

**WRITING BACKGROUND**
Rosey is not just a writer; she's an award-winning literary force! As a proud member of the Motown Writers Network in Detroit and a columnist for the Dream Pathways Foundation in Atlanta, she has made her mark. Rosey has even snagged the prestigious Floyd M. Washington writing contest award, co-sponsored by the NAACP and Ford Motor Company, with the award being presented by the amazing Laila Ali at Detroit’s annual Freedom Fund Dinner!
Plus, RDW Creations celebrated as a 2017 Motor City Match awardee—what an accomplishment!

**PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE**
Often compared to a true renaissance woman, Rosey brings a diverse array of skills born from her passions and experiences. With over twenty years as a Computer Information Systems professional, she has a wealth of knowledge to share. RDW Creations has offered fantastic classroom and online instruction in technology and literacy. She has also enriched the lives of special needs students serving as a preferred substitute teacher, enhancing their literacy and communication skills!

**COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS**
Rosey’s journey is fueled by her unwavering and volunteer spirit! Literacy is just one of the causes she passionately champions. For the past decade, she has tirelessly supported homeless and housing issues in her community. In 2023, she published *You Don't Know Half It: A Living Testimony on Homelessness, Healing and Hope,* which opened doors for her to testify before the Michigan Judiciary and Public Safety Committee in favor of critical homeless and housing legislation! In 2024, she joined the Expanding the Bench Leadership Council on homelessness with the Arc4Justice organization, sharing her insights at numerous events across the state. To keep the momentum going, she launched *The Human Butterfly Effect Podcast,* where she dives into vital conversations about everyday issues that impact the greater good!
