The Skillman Youth Council is an opportunity to learn, connect, and bring your voice to shape the future of education in Detroit! Years ago RDW Creations was a member of the Youth Development Initiative under The Skillman Foundation umbrella. I can personally attest to the positive work and vast opportunities this organization provides!

Qualifications:

• Currently living and/or attending school in Detroit

• High school sophomore or junior during the 2025-2026 school year

• Ability to serve a two-year term from July/August 2025–September 2027 and attend monthly in-person meetings

• Passionate about education and your community

• Inspired by the possibilities of education justice in Detroit

• Motivated to create change, advocate for peers, and contribute to meaningful community impact
